The State of Virginia Finally Conforms to Federal Tax Law, Allowing 2018 Tax Returns to Be Filed
Finally, on Friday, February 15, the Governor of Virginia signed legislation conforming Virginia’s tax laws to the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Until Friday, Virginians were unable to submit their 2018 tax returns for processing. Now, the Virginia Department of Taxation can begin processing returns.
Once a return is processed, taxpayers can use the Where’s My Refund web app to get up-to-date information about their return status.
